Pretty Tasty is about connecting Tidewater's creative community.  More the case every day, there are great people in the area doing great things and promoting culture in these growing cities of ours.  The idea is simple, but its success will be in the people who use it.  As such, the shape of Pretty Tasty will undoubtedly evolve in the coming weeks, months, and years.  To get us started, though, let me share a few of the things we were thinking of when we decided to build this site...

- Art shows, exhibitions, and gallery openings.
- Speakers and events (AIGA, Ad Club, and more).
- Sharing great work (websites, print, ad campaigns, etc.)
- Music shows and reviews.
- Posting work for feedback.
- Getting help with technical, design, and other problems.
- Employment Opportunities.
- Great press and noteworthy articles (Online, Pilot, Portfolio, Downtowner, etc.)
- Suggest times, locations, and/or events for gatherings.
- Insert your ideas here

Of course, Pretty Tasty is rooted in and in support of the Tidewater community, but it goes without saying that we should look outside as much as we look inside our community to broaden our horizons and further our success.  It appears I've just taken a turn towards the soap box, so let me wrap this up.  I cannot stress this enough...

The success of Pretty Tasty is completely dependent on your involvement.

By far, the best thing you can do to contribute to the succcess of Pretty Tasty (and the creative community in general) is to participate.  Speak up and share.  Post to the board and the calendar often.  Maybe tell a friend or two.  Make Pretty Tasty part of your daily routine.  You'll be amazed to see just how much this area and this community have to offer, and it grows every day.
